June 15th-June 19th
We had another busy week. We enjoyed the Flag Day Assembly on Friday afternoon and we celebrated Caleb's birthday! The kids did a great job using sign language as they sang America, the Beautiful in front of the school!
June 19th **3rd Grade Learning Fair and Picnic 11:30-12:30** This event will start in the classroom, where students will share some work we've been doing. We will then move outside to the picnic table area to have a picnic lunch! Please bring a dessert to share! We will be sending home many items this day so you may want to bring a bag to carry home supplies!

This week...
**This be the last week of spelling and reading logs for the year.
Reading and Writing
We will be drafting our persuasive speeches this week. We are also working on "compliment cards". Each student make a card for every member of the class and they will each receive a book of cards at the end of the year. They are really doing a nice job with this!
Math
We are continuing to work in groups to review the main topics of the year.
Science/Social Studies
In science, we will continue the electricity unit. In social studies, we will finish up Brazil and start a short unit on China. We will also be learning about Flag Day in preparation for Friday's Flag Day Assembly.
