I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!! The weather was beautiful and I got to spend some quality time with family and friends. I hope you did too. Next week, we will be doing some more testing. Unfortunately, fourth grade is a year that is packed with testing! I will list the upcoming tests below. Testing Schedule
Monday June 4th-NYS Science Test (written portion)
Tuesday June 5th and Wednesday June 6th-Accelerated Math Inventory
Thursday June 7th-NYS Field Testing
ELA
In reading this week, we are studying author's purpose and reading independently. There are no reading letters due this week. In Writing, we are working on an end of the year activity in which students write a complimentary paragraph about each of their classmates. There is no spelling this week.
Math
We finished Hands On Equations last week. This week, we will be covering/reviewing a few things as a transition to 5th grade math. We will also be doing some group math projects to end the year.
Science
We will start the Rocks and Minerals unit this week and we will finish reviewing for the NYS Science test.
Social Studies
We will be working on Immigration this week.
